Position Summary

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for safe, accurate, and efficient movement, storage, tracking, and organization of materials throughout the facility. This role supports warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping/receiving, and production activities while ensuring inventory accuracy, proper documentation, and organized material flow. The Warehouse Specialist will also assist with managing the tool crib and storeroom to ensure tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained, tracked, and available for operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

•        Receive, inspect, unload, and verify incoming materials and shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.

•        Pull, stage, and distribute materials for customer orders, production, service, or internal operations.

•        Accurately track inventory movements using ERP systems, inventory software, spreadsheets, or warehouse management systems.

•        Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, and assist with physical inventory audits.

•        Maintain organized and accurate paperwork related to receiving, shipping, transfers, inventory adjustments, certifications, and material traceability.

•        File, scan, organize, and maintain warehouse and inventory documentation both electronically and physically.

•        Utilize Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Outlook, and Word for inventory tracking, reporting, communication, and documentation.

•        Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

•        Load and unload trucks while ensuring materials are properly secured and protected from damage.

•        Organize warehouse, storage, staging areas, tool crib, and storeroom to maintain cleanliness, accessibility, and efficiency.

•        Manage tool crib and storeroom inventory including issuing, receiving, tracking, organizing, and maintaining tools, equipment, and supplies.

•        Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management or purchasing personnel.

•        Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, shortages, or process issues.

•        Assist with shipping and receiving coordination, labeling, packaging, and preparation of outbound shipments.

•        Follow company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and warehouse best practices.

•        Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

•        High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

•        Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, or material handling experience preferred.

•        Forklift experience required; certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.

•        Strong computer and data entry skills required.

•        Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Outlook.

•        Experience using ERP systems, inventory software, or warehouse management systems preferred.

•        Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

•        Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment.

•        Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

•        Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

•        Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.

•        Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material movement throughout the shift.

•        Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment.

•        Ability to work in warehouse and industrial environments with varying temperatures and conditions.

Work Environment

This position operates in a warehouse and industrial environment involving material storage, shipping/receiving activities, forklift traffic, tool crib operations, and inventory management. Strong safety awareness, organization, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
